In 15 years of selling everything from banks, airlines and sports cars to magazines, lightbulbs and tampons, things got a little crazy.

I advocated kidnapping as a medium, stole art from The Rijksmuseum, depicted graphic vengeance by a dog, promoted the benefits of selfishness, helped people to see music with the aid of alcohol, was accused of promoting promiscuity and (in an unrelated incident) helped South East Asians to talk openly about their genitals, got super-competitive Singaporeans to celebrate quitters, inspired a panda to twerk, showed commuters an alternative reality, proved that Milli Vanilli can sing and helped to instigate 'bikini' as a verb.

Media-neutered at an early age, I always aim for elegant solutions and playful execution.

The good folks at D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Spikes, AdFest, Effies, and the IPA seem to like what I do.

My Nan remains sceptical.

HISTORY

> OGILVY – Amsterdam – 2015 - present.  Creative Director. 
Brought on board to add a little experience on international brands, I've helped to lead accounts like Philips, Sennheiser and KFC. I've rolled up my sleeves on many others, too. I've written and overseen everything from global brand positioning campaigns to tactical experiences and digital / social comms. There were shiny things, too.

> ARCADE – Singapore – 2014 – 2015.  Creative Director. 
Arcade was a fantastic mix of traditional, experiential, digital, social & design work for Heineken, Desperados Beer, Coke / McDonalds and Unilever. With more of a digital focus than previous agencies, I enjoyed being around people with a ‘mobile first’ mantra.

> FREELANCE – Singapore – 2013 – 2014.  Creative Director / Writer.
Helped to win several major pitches across the region and helped create integrated campaigns for markets across Asia. Worked on everything from Marvel movies to Milk. Along the way I picked up some valuable Creative Director experience, some shiny awards, and had to present (sing) a song made from Ikea names with a chorus based on repeating the word 'ass'. Did they buy it? Yo bet yo ass.

> OGILVY – Singapore – 2008 – 2012.  Creative Group Head.
The last thing people wanted in 2008 was another bank, but we helped to launch CIMB and exceeded all sales targets. The campaign also scored an Effie. This led to more work from CIMB, such as the PGA Asia Pacific Classic golf sponsorship campaign, which aired globally. I also helped create campaigns for Kotex, Nike, The Economist, Getty Images, Durex, Visit Britain, The BBC, Subaru, Lego and the Singapore government.

> BATEY ADS – Singapore – 2005 – 2008.  Senior Creative.
At Batey I worked on one of the largest accounts in the region – Singapore Airlines. I thenhelped to pitch and win another airline – Qatar Airways – creating several brand commercialsfor them. In addition to various airlines, I also created work for Mercedes-Benz, Audi,Mitsubishi, ParkRoyal Hotels and the Red Cross.

> GREY – London – 2003 – 2005.  Creative.
As a creative at Grey London I worked on large and varied brands such as Pedigree dog food, Twix, AOL, and GSK, Unilever and P&G brands. My first ever TV ad, shortlisted at Cannes, isstill shown on TV at Christmas in the UK.

> LEO BURNETT – London – 2003.  Creative.
Whilst at Leo Burnett I worked with brands such as Heinz, Kelloggs, McDonalds and Fiat.

> TBWA – London – 2002.  Creative.
At TBWA I worked with brands such as JMC Holidays and Strongbow cider.


Education

>Postgraduate Diploma in Copywriting and Art Direction – London – 2002.
Here we were trained in the art of lateral thinking by the excellent Tony Cullingham.
